The Taming of Kekionga

The fourth episode in the Kekionga series picks up the next day after The Siege at Kekionga: Tecumseh’s Uprising ends. A British and Indian coalition is marching along the Maumee River toward Fort Wayne carrying unpleasant thoughts toward its occupants. The War of 1812 is escalating with American General William Henry Harrison leading the federal and militia forces of the United States against an Indian and British alliance led by Tecumseh and British General Henry Proctor.

About the Author and Series

Jim Pickett grew up in New Haven, Indiana and attended the University of Saint Francis obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Education and then a Master of Science in Education. Mr. Pickett taught a variety of subjects in the DeKalb Central School District in Northeast Indiana, retiring in 2011. He continues teaching driver education, of all things, in Fort Wayne; he also enjoys researching local and American history.
